Matthew is an accredited exercise physiologist who is highly motivated and passionate about facilitating a high level of evidence based best practices and solutions in healthcare and sports performance.
He holds a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science degree (Deakin University, 2020), and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology post-graduate degree (Deakin University, June 2022).
Matthew interests and clinical focus includes:
- Capacity building and therapeutic support services (strength; mobility; balance; stamina) for individuals affected by disabilities (NDIS).
- Exercise rehabilitation for those affected by chronic conditions; particularly metabolic, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
- Injury prevention and management for young athletes.
- Children's growth and development.
- Exercise and ageing - strategies to improve muscle and bone strength; reduce risks of tripping/falls and frailty.
- Physiological assessments, including aerobic capacity (VO2max), strength, body composition, mobility and neurological metrics.
